THE BOOK — The Foundation of Spiritual Union
The book, In Search of the Universal God, is based on 40 years of research of scriptures of different religions. It reveals a common understanding of the Supreme Being among four major religions, each pointing towards the same Supreme Being- ONE God of humankind.
Major conclusion of the book:
The God of humankind is a loving, merciful, compassionate and a non-partisan God. He does not practice religious apartheid. Therefore, He does not discriminate against anybody for being a Hindu, a Jew, a Christian, a Muslim, or a practitioner of any other faith. The God of humankind also makes no distinction between believers, seekers, atheists, agnostics, or nones. He loves us all equally, abundantly, and unconditionally.
The background:
I was born in a Hindu family and educated in a Jesuit school. As a child, I was so confused about religion. I saw Christians worshipping a different God in their churches, while we Hindus worshipped other Gods at home and in our temples.
Back then, two questions troubled me the most.
- Why do people worship different Gods?
- Who is the REAL God of humankind?
“In Search of the Universal God” is a unifying journey to explore the possibility that different religions may ultimately be referring to One Creator or One God of humankind through different names, languages and theological traditions.
